My intention was to grind up all of the tree stumps on our new property at some point to make it easier to mow the grass, but this one might need to stay. It’s proximity to the house construction might still make it a casualty. I don’t know if those two round holes were intentionally bored in to look like offset eyes or if that was accidental. If we can keep it, maybe I’ll slap some light blue paint on it…
It was likely a mulberry tree before being reduced to a stump. (There are several other full mulberry trees scattered throughout the property). I wonder how Cookie Monster would feel about mulberry filled cookies. I suppose in his muppet mind – a cookie is a cookie.
