Are You My Mother?

These little ones were several blocks away from the lake separated from their momma duck. I stumbled across them on a busy street this morning shortly before several school aged children saw them as well. The kids ultimately asked a teacher what they could do to help the little fowl-outs. They seemed to be a bit frightened by me, but were very quick to follow one of the little girls who had taken an interest in them! I guess she was the closest friendly face they could find next to momma.
