Mapping software on my phone lists this street name as “West Lakeside Avenue” and “Lakeside Avenue East.” I’ve traveled through this particular intersection dozens of times. The building behind with the statue houses the Ohio 8th District Court of Appeals at 1 Lakeside Avenue E.
It just struck me as ironic and inconsistent that a left turn at this intersection puts you onto “West Lakeside Avenue” but a right turn sends you down “Lakeside Avenue East” or, as the sign itself indicates – just “Lakeside Avenue.”
