Pier-cing Sunset

Final vestiges of a Saturday evening sunset at the Jackson Street Pier in Sandusky.

One of the many blessings of living on Lake Erie are the amazing water-horizoned sunsets. Sure you can find similarly inspiring sunsets on any west-facing body of water. And there are some pretty amazing land-locked sunset photos out there too – I will admit. But this late night scene from a darkened Jackson Street Pier with the coal docks lit up in the mid-distance -all just a short 15-20 minute summer walk from home- was just begging to be photographed and posted here.
